Qualifications

- Ability to physically handle parts of up to 50lbs in both our internal and external Parts Warehouses- Experience in a Parts/Warehousing environment would be an asset but not required

- Valid Drivers license- Effective Listening & Speaking Skills

- Basic Computer Skills

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

- Commitment to a safe workplace

This is a full time, hourly position. Company health and RRSP Benefits available after probationary period.

Parts Manager

We currently have openings at our Dartmouth Branch for a Parts Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Set attainable goals for your dept & develop strategies to achieve them

  • Facilitate harmony and teamwork with all other departments.

  • Work with the Service Manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.

  • Attend managers' meetings.

  • Hire, train, motivate and monitor the performance of all parts department staff.

  • Direct and schedule the activities of all parts department employees.

  • Provide technical assistance to parts department employees.

  • Conduct meetings with parts department employees to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest and to develop strategies for a more efficient operation.

  • Develop, enforce and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

  • Handle customer complaints immediately and according to the dealership's guidelines.

  • Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence

Skills & Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.

  • One year of supervisory experience.

  • Five years of experience in HD Parts Management

  • Industry experience would be considered over all other

  • Excellent communication and managerial skills.

  • Will be trained on the dealership computer systems

  • Ability to operate the department profitably within dealership guidelines.

  • Professional personal appearance.
